Players who want shorter queue times in ranked matchmaking must be willing and able to play any role. Players in the Fast Queue will be prioritized by the system whenever they are trying to find matches, but they must first earn their chances to play in the new priority queue. To earn games for the Fast Queue, players must be willing to play all Ranked Roles. Electing to play all roles will net players a free game in the Fast Queue, but they can also earn additional games for future use by fulfilling a number of conditions.
chaos squad matchmaking is pretty bad. sometimes i get in instantly but last few nights its been searching for a game for about 5 mins before i.
Apart from the so-called speed of the matchmaking, I don’t see anything special here at all to be honest. They are kinda saying, “We have finally recreated Activision Blizzards World of Warcraft technology for use with our game. I understand that Microsoft want to promote the, so-far, mythical benefits of their Cloud technology but Insomniac saying it helps match-making seems like they are really scraping the barrel. Drivatars and matchmaking is all well and good but until MS can demonstrate significant benefits to games that are impossible on other formats, then all this talk of cloud and Azure technology becomes nothing more than PR spiel.
Mr Pumblechook I think the point of all this PR is to get developers on board to use Azure instead of using peer-to-peer or expensive dedicated servers. Cloud services allows developers to outsource their hardware needs into the cloud. They don’t have to maintain the hardware or worry about buying to little or to much hardware because it’s all dynamic in the cloud. I mean every dev “oversells” What they are doing but why does that always seem to upset folks when it pertains to X1 exclusives?
I’ll tell you what the naysayers who btw have never made a game can TALK all they want but Forza5’s Driveatar system is pretty goddamm slick, very underrated for what’s going on with that game and the experience you get with that type of AI has been very satisfying. It was a launch game too, so I think Micro should just lead the way despite the detractors; I so wish that X1 was more about being less like ps4, ps4 is great for going with what sony wants to do, I want Xbox to be great for NOT following the status qou or ps, think about micros initial push in the early days for console online gaming and how it has proven to be good for gaming.

Let’s talk about SypherPK for a while before we jump into why he has been caught up in the Fortnite community turmoil. One of the most thoughtful contributions from Sypher came in the form of a Youtube video titled, ‘We need to talk about Fortnite’. The video caught the attention of many people, including other popular Youtubers, who agreed with the issues that SypherPK pointed out.
It is worth 25 points and can be received for: Survive Chaos Squad in Looking for people to do this and FizzCo, matchmaking is impossible.
Fortnite Team Rumble, the casual-friendly mode of near-endless kills and respawns, just got some new tweaks ahead of the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2. An official developer post on the Fortnite Battle Royale Reddit forum lays out the changes to Team Rumble, all of which help streamline some of the mode’s remaining rough patches; the dark days of having to dedicate a whole inventory spot just to the glider redeploy item are over.
Aside from the glider change, the other big tweak is the disabling of skill-based matchmaking. While it can help players find better matchups in the main Battle Royale modes, full-on chaos across all skill levels does seem to fit the vibe of Team Rumble better. The injection of materials at the start of the match also means you can start your building your fortifications right away, without having to run away from the action to find an un-plundered spot.
Maybe this isn’t quite the preview of the next season you expected, but at least it’s more concrete than those weird map teases. Any other day, these tweaks to one of Fortnite’s tried-and-true modes would be worthy of Fortnite patch notes all their own. The fact that Epic is just pushing them out now with relatively little fanfare speaks to just how much stuff it probably has in store for the arrival of the next season.
Or at least we hope so, after how long it’s taken for chapter 2 season 2 to arrive. While you won’t be playing any of the main story in co-op friends, you can launch into the Sunset Overdrive ‘s co-op mode called “Chaos Squad” at any time by visiting phone booths littered around the map. Hit one up, start matchmaking and continue to play the campaign until a game is ready. Once in, the eight player co-op match begins with players choose between two mini-games.
Players vote on which one they’d like to play based on the bonuses it provides to the end game which includes a more difficult survival and more power for your traps. There’s a good variety of mini-games to play with friends too – defense missions, action sequences where you’ll need to kill with style, collection missions, and bombing missions.
Each one should take four to five minutes to complete and then it’s on to vote for the next one.

It means the battle royale game will pair you against players who are using the same peripherals, for example, controller versus controller, keyboard and mouse versus keyboard and mouse. It’ll help avoid situations where console controller players go up against those who use a keyboard and mouse. PlayStation 4 players who use a keyboard and mouse are considered to have an advantage over controller users – Microsoft currently does not provide official keyboard and mouse support for the Xbox One.
Here’s how it’ll work, according to Epic’s recent State of Development blog post : if anyone in your party uses a mouse and keyboard on console, you will be matchmade with PC players and other keyboard and mouse players, as if you partied up with a PC player. However, the current crossplay rules will still apply, so partying up with a PC player will always put you in a PC pool, regardless of your input type. There’s no word on whether Fortnite will pair those who use a controller on PC with others who use a controller on PC and console.
But Epic did say custom controls are coming later in the year. This will let you remap your gamepad to your preference. Meanwhile, Epic said a competition system is coming to Fortnite. This is intended to let players compete directly against one another within the same match – “and be recognised for their accomplishments”. The first version of this is expected later this autumn.
